Blue Smoke welcomes you to ‘The Sunday Sit Down Get Down’, our much loved afternoon concert series. This is a first rate opportunity to catch a matinee show with family and friends and enjoy some fine gastro fare while you’re at it.

We believe great music should be paired with hearty soul food so in addition to our normal Blue Smoke concert menu we’ve decided to serve a SEASONAL ROAST MEAL from our beautiful AGA kitchen.
Check out our menu to find out what our chef is serving up this week! Plenty of vegetarian and vegan options available also.

We open our doors at 3pm every Sunday so feel free to come early, find a good spot and enjoy the refreshing fare we have on offer before the show gets underway at 4pm. Our seasonal AGA Roast will be served from 5pm.

There is a suggested ‘Koha’ entry for this event, we encourage you to support the musicians and pay what you can afford.

Some artists have chosen to offer a pre-sale ticket option as space may be limited at their concert. Please refer to the events below for ticketing information.

“At turns mesmerizing, playful, humorous and wistful, Gilewitz is a master of moods when he speaks to audiences through his guitar. He’s always at the service of his inner voice, which hasa sneaky way of connecting directly to the listener’s heart.”– Creative Loafing Magazine, Tampa Bay FL

Richard Gilewitz, American fingerstyle guitarist and entertainer, charms the audience with mixtures of tunes sprinkled with stories about the composers who have influenced acoustic guitar music, while adding his own quirky insights into life in general. Pulling from over four decades of playing, he continually speaks through his 6 and 12-string guitars as a master of moods who is always at the service of his inner voice. His performances are laced with sounds from traditional to blues, Americana to European Classical, and folk to pop with thought-provoking journeys into the mind of a traveling raconteur.

He’s played venues large and small from Nova Scotia to Australia, Austria to New Zealand, The Netherlands to California, and points in between. He’s shared the stage with a list of folks such as Richard Thompson, Leo Kottke, Warren Zevon, John Prine, Taj Mahal, Indigo Girls, the band America, Brooks Williams, Michael Fix, Patty Larkin, Steve Morse, Adrian Legg, The California Guitar Trio, John McCutcheon, as well as John Renbourn, Mose Allison, John Fahey, Norman Blake, and John Hammond.
