CLAP CLAP RIOT TO RETURN TO CHRISTCHURCH FOR ONE-OFF SHOW
April 18, 2019: Auckland-by-way-of-Christchurch band Clap Clap Riot celebrated the tenth anniversary of their first physical release, TV Knows Better in March with a number of shows around Aotearoa.
In response to the horrific terror attack on March 15, the band made the decision to cancel their scheduled Christchurch performance. On Friday 10 May, Clap Clap Riot will return to Blue Smoke for a special one-off show.
A percentage of the profits from the event will go to an approved charity supporting the victims of the Christchurch terror attack.
Started in Canterbury by a group of high school friends, the dynamic five-piece solidified their place as a kiwi staple over a last decade with one EP, three full-length albums, a string of NZ music award nominations, and countless live shows with the who’s who of local and international acts.
Fans will be taken on a journey through all the hits and lesser known delights, plus hear new material from a forthcoming release which is currently being recorded with Tom Healy at Auckland’s The Lab studio.
